#371: Quote Share from the Community

We are now four months into doing CFC "Spotlight" pieces, so I thought it would be nice to spotlight a handful of short quotes from the last few months! I have LOVED reading these writings. And now rather than having a library of pieces on the CFC website, we have a library of people. Here's the link for all so far - Library.  And the outdoor photos have all been awesome too. I've attached one semi-candid (is that a thing?) photo below of Amber and I from a much warmer time. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season!

"One thing that I can tell drives me each day is that end of day feeling of "well done". This feeling is a driver both for accomplishing my work throughout the day, and it's also the learned response to my completed (and uncompleted tasks) to declare then what I have done is Enough. Sufficient. Good. Even if I didn't accomplish all that I set out to do, or if I made mistakes, my declaration to myself when I have finished is, "You did well. Well done."  - Amber Gentry

"My joy is in the opportunity of being alive at this very moment when so much is possible, available, and changing." - Holly Grant

"I am driven to do things with intention rather than reaction but also to be okay with the outcomes. To me the effort is about who I’m becoming by doing these little things, and that is a signal in and of itself." - Jack Elkins

"At the risk of sounding cliche, there is so much more in my life than work, and I have so much to be thankful for. I am married to my best friend and we have had a great first year of marriage. My life is also lived throughout my hobbies like running, reading, traveling, and nourishing my faith. My family is happy and close by, I have the best of friends. What more does one need?" - Lauren Culbertson
